Courtyard by Marriott Across Universal Orlando Underway

“This is more than just a rebrand — it’s the start of a new era in style & hospitality.”

Big changes are on the horizon in one of Orlando’s most iconic tourism hubs. The property formerly known as Holiday Inn & Suites Across from Universal Orlando is currently undergoing a full transformation, soon to debut as the Courtyard by Marriott Across Universal Orlando. While the official rebrand is still in progress, renovations are well underway, signaling the arrival of a new era in style, service, and hospitality steps from Universal Orlando Resort™.

Located just minutes from International Drive, ICON Park, and the Orange County Convention Center, the hotel’s unbeatable location across the street from Universal Orlando continues to be one of its strongest assets. But what is inside is getting just as much attention. Renovation highlights include redesigned public areas, renovated guest rooms and suites, and refreshed meeting spaces that bring more contemporary energy to the property.

With an eye toward today’s traveler, the ongoing upgrades are designed to deliver both comfort and functionality in every corner of the hotel. One standout feature is its spacious suite layout, ideal for families, friend groups, or multi-generational travel. Unique two-bedroom suites can sleep up to ten guests and feature two double beds and a sleeper sofa, offering flexibility for larger parties. All suites come equipped with a mini fridge and microwave, making extended stays a breeze.

Exciting new features are also on the way, including The Bistro & Bar, which will proudly serve Starbucks® coffee, breakfast favorites, evening cocktails, and light bites, and The Crate Grab-N-Go, a convenient self-serve market with snacks and essentials.

“This is more than just a rebrand,” says General Manager Erin Arpke. “It is a full refresh of the guest experience. We are excited to bring the Courtyard brand to Orlando in such a dynamic location and welcome future guests to discover everything we will have to offer, including access to Marriott Bonvoy.”

The hotel also features an outdoor pool, fitness center, complimentary Wi-Fi, and over 11,000 square feet of flexible event space, supported by in-house catering and event staff. As a Universal Partner Hotel, guests will enjoy shuttle service to Universal Orlando™ and a Vacation Planning Center in the lobby.

To celebrate the upcoming rebrand, planners who book a 2026 or 2027 event by November 30, 2025, can lock in current 2025 pricing and earn 5,000 Marriott Bonvoy® points upon signed agreement and deposit.
