Attorney Alisia Adamson Profit, Esq. has earned widespread acclaim as “The Nation’s Best Advocate” from the National Bar Association, highlighting her exceptional contributions to both the legal field and her community. As a founding partner of HAWM Law, Profit has established herself as a formidable force in criminal defense. Her firm, known for its dedication to clients, was named Law Firm of the Year by the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association and celebrated by Seminole 100 as one of the fastest-growing FSU alumni-owned businesses.
Profit’s legal prowess has been consistently recognized by Super Lawyers, which has honored her as a Rising Star and top-rated Criminal Defense Attorney for several years. Before founding HAWM Law, she honed her skills as a trial attorney with the Ninth Judicial Circuit of the Office of the Public Defender, further cementing her reputation for excellence.
Her academic journey began at Florida State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing followed by a Juris Doctorate from the FSU College of Law. Today, she balances her legal career with roles as a legal analyst for WESH2 News and active participation in various community initiatives. Notably, she served as the first Black woman President of the Orange County Bar Association Foundation in 2020 and currently sits on its Executive Council.
Profit’s involvement extends to the Orange County Charter Review Commission as Chair of the Public Bank Committee, among other roles. Her dedication has earned her numerous accolades, including the Unsung Hero Award from H.Y.P.E., and recognition as Orlando’s Top Women in Law by Orlando Style Magazine.
