Amarillis Velez Diaz is a proud Latina attorney, devoted mother of two daughters, and loving wife—whose journey is a testament to resilience, purpose, and passion. As the CEO and founder of Velez Legal Practice, she has built a law firm rooted in compassion, integrity, and empowerment—serving families, individuals, and business owners across Florida with heart and excellence in estate planning, probate, business law, contracts, and real estate.
A first-generation college graduate, Amarillis earned her Bachelor’s in Accounting magna cum laude from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico before spending over a decade in federal procurement. As a former Federal Government Auditor, she advised on procurement fraud and contract compliance, supporting Fortune 500 companies. This experience sharpened her strategic eye, deepened her understanding of legal accountability, and gave her invaluable insight into complex legal systems.
She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2016. Since then, Amarillis has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2025, featured as one of Latino Leaders Magazine’s Rising Star Lawyers in 2024, and inducted into the prestigious Marquis Who’s Who in 2025.
Her legal practice is distinguished not only by her technical expertise but also by her commitment to holistic legal care. Amarillis draws on a trusted network of professionals to help clients protect what matters most—family, legacy, and business.
Her proudest roles, however, are those of mother and mentor. She is raising her daughters to dream big and walk boldly, while also showing up in her community as a voice for representation, empowerment, and legacy-building.
