Dr. Amita Patel is a compassionate and highly skilled Therapeutic Optometrist dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal visual health. With 19 years of experience, including 16 years serving the Orlando community, Dr. Patel brings a wealth of expertise to her practice.
As an expert in myopia management, Dr. Patel offers optical interventions such as orthokeratology (Ortho-K) treatments for both children and adults. Eyedeology Eye Care also offers a range of cutting-edge services, including dry eye treatments, specialty contact lenses, emergency visits, ocular disease management, surgical co-management, and comprehensive eye health care.
Originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dr. Patel earned her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she received a Bachelor of Biology and a minor in Biochemistry. She then pursued her Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, graduating in 2007. Dr. Patel is also passionate about giving back to her community, having participated in OneSight missions in Ecuador and providing vision screenings at her church.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her two energetic daughters and her loving husband. A self-proclaimed culinary adventurer, she loves to travel and has always been dedicated to creating a unique and exceptional eye care experience for all her patients.
