Born and raised in the picturesque coastal town of Lajas, Puerto Rico, Antonio grew up in a family where dedication, integrity, and service to others were fundamental values. His parents, owners of a family-run business, instilled in him a strong work ethic that has shaped his professional journey.
Antonio pursued his passion for the law at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, before earning his Juris Doctor from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico School of Law. Graduating in the top 5% of his class. He held various leadership positions including founding member of the Federal Bar Association Student Chapter and Editor-in-Chief of the Prima Facie Law Journal. During his third year as a law student, and later as an attorney, he clerked for the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals. His commitment to legal excellence led him to Tulane University School of Law, where he specialized in Admiralty and Maritime Law, earning an LLM degree. For his professional accomplishments and excellent academic record, he was awarded the Harry F. Stiles Scholarship in Maritime Law.
Antonio began his legal career as a litigator at an insurance defense firm, spending over 18 years representing insurers in complex cases involving automobile accidents, wrongful death and maritime claims.
As a Partner at Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys, Antonio has been recognized at the Firm with the Rising Star Award and President’s Leadership Award for his commitment and dedication securing justice while providing excellent care and service for his clients throughout Central Florida.
