Throughout his distinguished career in public service, Osceola County District 3 Commissioner Brandon Arrington has broken barriers and opened doors of opportunity for residents and future generations alike. With a deep-rooted passion for his community, Arrington has made it his mission to foster growth, innovation, and education across Osceola County. As a forward-thinking leader, in 2022, Arrington launched Osceola Prosper, a groundbreaking initiative that offers free college or technical training to high school graduates in the county. This program has significantly elevated Osceola’s college attendance rate, which was once among the lowest in Florida, to now ranking fourth statewide. Reflecting on his vision, he shares, “A well-educated workforce is essential for creating lasting opportunities,” underscoring his commitment to strengthening Osceola’s future and ensuring its residents have the tools they need to succeed. Arrington’s leadership also extends to innovation, as evidenced by his successful pursuit of the $50.8 million Build Back Better Regional Challenge Grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Osceola was one of only 21 recipients nationwide and the sole recipient in Florida. These funds will be pivotal in expanding NeoCity’s high-tech capabilities, positioning Osceola as a key player in advanced technology and creating numerous high-wage jobs that will transform the local economy. Since his election in 2008, Arrington has been a driving force for development, serving on influential boards such as the Orlando Economic Partnership, MetroPlan Orlando, and the Central Florida Expressway Authority, where he currently holds the position of Chairman. His leadership and collaborative spirit continue to shape the future of the region. Beyond his role as commissioner, Arrington is committed to enriching the cultural fabric of his community as the Executive Director of Osceola Arts. A Kissimmee native and proud Auburn University graduate, he has a lifelong connection to the area. It was at Osceola High School where he met his wife, Florida Senator Kristen Arrington, and together they share a commitment to public service. Arrington’s career is a testament to his passion for service, community development, and his unwavering vision for a brighter, more prosperous Osceola County. His leadership continues to inspire those around him and promises a legacy of lasting impact for generations to come.
