Gokul N. Kumar, MD & Eric G. Feinstein, MD
Dr. Gokul N. Kumar received his B.S. in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University and his M.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He completed his ophthalmology residency training at Washington University in St. Louis, where he spent an additional year as Chief Resident and clinical instructor to residents. During his fellowship at Emory University, whose fellowships have ranked in the top three for over three decades, Dr. Kumar completed his surgical retina fellowship. Several medical honors have been awarded to Dr. Kumar; among them, the faculty at Washington University chose him as the best clinical and surgical ophthalmology resident. In his leisure time, he enjoys golfing, running, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Eric G. Feinstein received his M.D. from the University of Virginia and completed his ophthalmology residency training at Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois in Chicago. His fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery was at the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute at the University of Colorado. Dr. Feinstein is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has received multiple honors and awards, including a prestigious research fellowship in ophthalmology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering. He has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented research at many national meetings. In his leisure time, he enjoys tennis, hiking, cycling, and spending time with his family.
