Dr. Craig Fishman has been practicing ophthalmology in Central Florida since 1996 and is honored to receive this recognition. After pursuing his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 1988, he then earned his medical degree from New York University where he served as Student Body President. Dr. Fishman went on to complete an ophthalmology residency at Emory University and was named Chief Resident. A board-certified ophthalmologic surgeon, Dr. Fishman is a proud member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

In 2001, Dr. Fishman was selected Chief of the ENT & Ophthalmology Department at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, Florida. He is also the co-founder with his colleague of 19 years, Dr. Jeffrey Sheridan, of Fishman & Sheridan EyeCare Specialists. Fishman & Sheridan EyeCare offers three separate locations within beautiful Lake County and is dedicated to improving ocular health and vision in the Greater Orlando area. The practice offers a full range of services including an optical department in each clinic that provides both luxury brand and affordable frames/lenses.

With more than 25 years of experience in ophthalmology, Dr. Fishman is an established and highly skilled physician whose special interest lies in cataract surgery, laser procedures, glaucoma and macular degeneration. He is well regarded in the Central Florida community for the quality of his patient-centric care, and his loyal patients appreciate the personal one-on-one attention delivered by him and his staff.

When outside of the office, Dr. Fishman is devoted to spending time with his wife of 27 years and two sons. Family is extremely important to him and resonates within his practice as well where the staff enjoys a “work family” attitude. Building strong, lasting relationships is very important to everyone at Fishman & Sheridan EyeCare Specialists and our ability to work together as a team is demonstrated effectively from the moment our patients walk into the office.
