Neurological Services of Orlando, PA
and Multiple Sclerosis Care Center of NSO
Dr. Daniel Jacobs has practiced neurology in Orlando since 1997, and was a founding neurologist of his current practice in 1999. He founded the Multiple Sclerosis Care Center of NSO in 2005, the first such MS Consortium certified center in central Florida.
He completed his undergraduate degree at Stanford in 1982, his medical degree at Kansas in 1987, and had additional training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, the Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Florida. He was an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Tufts University from 1994-1997, and currently is Professor of Neurology at the UCF College of Medicine.
Dr. Jacobs sees (almost) all problems in neurology, but has a very large patient population (more than 1000) in multiple sclerosis. Other interests include myasthenia gravis, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive disorders, EMG and nerve conductions, and long term cognitive problems in athletes. He has been recognized with several awards from Orlando Health, where he founded the Comprehensive Stroke Center as medical director, and from the Orlando Health Memory Disorder Clinic, that he co-founded in 1998. Anything not to be bored!
