About us: CFPA provides pathology coverage for all of the Orlando area Florida Hospital campuses. In particular, I am the Medical Laboratory Director for Florida Hospital Celebration Health.
Education: My undergraduate studies in biology were at the University of Virginia from 1987-1991. I attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center from 1991-1995. My pathology residency in anatomic and clinical pathology was done at Orlando Health from 1995-2000, with an additional year of cytopathology fellowship at the University of Florida / SHANDS Jacksonville campus from 2000-2001.
Certifications: I am board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and cytopathology.
Experience: Since 2008, I have personally signed out over 3,500 prostatectomy cases. I also have extensive experience in breast, head and neck, and thoracic pathology.
Awards/Honors: Florida Hospital System Physician Value (ICBEST) Award for Teamwork, awarded December 2013.
Professional Membership / Affiliations: College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), Florida Society of Pathologists (FSP), Florida Medical Association (FMA), and the American Medical Association (AMA).
Greatest professional achievements: Attaining full partner status in my group, and cultivating close relationships with the outstanding doctors at Florida Hospital Celebration Health during my 17 years as Medical Laboratory Director.
