Dr. Christopher McCann and Dr. Vanessa Morales McCann have dedicated their careers to helping the people of Central Florida have healthy eyes and excellent vision. They share a private Optometric practice, Uptown Eyecare, in the Hunters Creek community of Orlando.  Their optical carries a wide curated selection of unique eyeglass frames and contact lenses.  They also enjoy the medical aspect of eyecare and utilize the newest technology to treat and manage eye diseases.  They have a diverse team of staff who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, and Gujarati.  They take pride in creating a practice that blends both the fashion aspect and medical aspect of eyecare, while not losing sight of what is most important- the health and well-being of their patients. 

Dr. Christopher McCann earned his Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University, and both his Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science and Doctorate of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University. He completed a residency in ocular disease at the VA Hospital in Baldwin Park, Orlando. Dr. McCann has volunteered with Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH), traveling to Trinidad, Peru, and Ecuador to provide medical eye care for those in need.  Dr. Vanessa Morales McCann earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida, and both her Bachelor of Science in Vision Science and Doctorate of Optometry with certificate of professional distinction from Nova Southeastern University. Being bilingual in Spanish has allowed her to help the growing Hispanic community in Orlando.  

Both doctors are active members of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association.  In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with their twins and family.  

Their philosophy in Optometry encourages persistent monitoring of innovations in the optical realm that will help improve the vision and health of their patients.  Uptown Eyecare provides the latest in technology to diagnose, treat, and manage eye diseases.  Some patients with difficult visual needs such as post-surgical complications, dry eye disease, and Keratoconus need scleral or hybrid contact lenses to correct their vision or protect their cornea. Many patients are referred to Uptown Eyecare because it is one of the few practices in Florida that utilize the latest technology created by Visionary Optics sMap3D to map out a customized scleral contact lens for difficult corneal fittings.   

Dr. Christopher McCann and Dr. Vanessa Morales McCann are excited to grow their ability to help the Central Florida community and will expand their care to a second location in Lake Nona in late Spring 2020.  Drs. McCann and Associates are proud to serve their community and determined to meet and exceed the eye health care needs of their patients.
