Truly Eye Care

“The transition to private practice owner from clinical director has been hard work, but a dream come true”, says Dr. Jennifer Gonzalez, FAAO. Since opening their doors in Spring 2022 Truly Eye Care has held the standard of exceptional patient care at the forefront. Drawing from her diverse experience and education she has created an environment that provides exceptional patient care with the most up to date training and technology.  

The driving force behind opening Truly Eye Care was to take the personalized eye care experience she offered patients in a surgical setting and bring  it to a broader audience all while providing opportunities of growth to company team members and students alike. The practice serves as a platform for students from all over the country to come learn about myopia control, surgical collaborative care, and fitting scleral contact lenses for irregular corneas (Keratoconus) or severe dry eye. Her passion for education led her to pursue her post doctoral Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry. This allows her to participate in ongoing research and share knowledge with colleagues at annual Academy meetings.

In addition to her passion for academia, she enjoys participating in her community. Dr. Gonzalez is fortunate to be bilingual. As such, she enjoys sharing her story and educating the latino community. She has been interviewed and participated on morning talk shows with Jenny Castillo on Rumba 100.3 to share her knowledge and experiences in the hopes of inspiring and educating others. Having grown up in a Spanish speaking home she understands the comfort receiving care in one’s native language can bring. Truly Eye Care is also proud to partner with local charitable organizations such as Miles to Go, Runway to Hope, and the Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians to provide services, support, and educate whenever possible. 

Her top priority has always been and still remains, patient care. The team she has built at Truly Eye Care go above and beyond to make sure patients leave feeling well cared for, and well informed.  They specialize in comprehensive medical eye care for patients of all ages as well as traditional vision care needs.
