For over 15 years, Dr. Ly T. Nguyen has been the first and only cataract surgeon in St. Cloud, Florida, transforming lives through advanced eye surgery. As the founder of Eye Florida, she has dedicated her career to delivering cutting-edge treatments with precision and compassion.
Her passion for ophthalmology began when her father needed cataract surgery, inspiring her to pursue the field at the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, earning the Resident Research Award in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Nguyen specializes in cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses, oculoplastics, and minimally invasive glaucoma treatments. Eye Florida offers comprehensive eye care, including advanced screenings for corneal and retinal diseases, in-office pterygium and blepharoplasty procedures, Botox and dermal fillers, and IV hydration therapy.
A recognized leader in ophthalmology, Dr. Nguyen has published research in the American Journal of Ophthalmology and the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Her work has earned prestigious awards, including Top Doctors, Best of Florida, and Orlando Style’s Elite Doctors, Top Eye Doctors, and Women of the Year.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Nguyen is deeply involved in the community as a mentor and coach, empowering young professionals and entrepreneurs. She is also an entrepreneur and investor focused on real estate and business development, helping create opportunities for growth and innovation. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and gardening. She hopes to write a memoir about her family’s journey as first-generation immigrants, a testament to resilience and hope.
