Exotic Animal Hospital of Orlando

Dr. Díaz is originally from Colombia but came to the United States in 2004 to pursue his dream of becoming an exotic animal veterinarian. In Colombia, he volunteered at two zoological institutions and a wildlife rehabilitation center. While in the United States, he attended Florida Atlantic University for his undergraduate studies while working as a veterinary technician at an exotic animal practice.
During veterinary school at the University of Florida, Dr. Díaz was awarded funding from the Morris Animal Foundation. In collaboration with his mentor, he developed an award-winning serology test to detect tuberculosis in captive Asian elephants.
In September 2016, Dr. Díaz founded the Exotic Animal Hospital of Orlando. The hospital offers comprehensive medical services for exotic pets, including:

• Advanced surgical procedures, including soft tissue and microsurgery.

• Laser therapy and water testing for aquatic species.
• Microchipping for pet identification.
• Boarding services for pet owners needing expert care while away.
As a veterinarian exclusively dedicated to exotic animal medicine, Dr. Díaz provides specialized care for a wide range of species, including rabbits, ferrets, birds, snakes, and more. His extensive expertise allows him to deliver exceptional medical treatment while exceeding client expectations.
