SPECIALTY:
Dr. Papa is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in the treatment of disorders of the foot and ankle. During his 27 years in Central Florida he has established himself as the go-to person in the surgical correction of both common and complex deformities of the foot and ankle (including bunions, hammertoes, flat feet and high arched feet). He also treats patients with the full spectrum of acute and chronic foot and ankle conditions. His meticulous approach and pride in his work has allowed him to return thousands of injured patients to their previous level of activity.

He proud to offer all of his patients 24/7 call in access to Jewett Orthopaedic’s Patient Contact Center. Dr. Papa also understands that injuries can happen at anytime and recommends that patients who require surgery to repair their broken bone(s) or torn ligament(s) and are unable to secure a timely appointment on their own, that they leave a message for his medical assistant who can usually get them in to see Dr. Papa within 1-2 days.

Never satisfied with the status quo, Dr. Papa continues to seek improvement in the treatment of foot and ankle problems. Dedication to lifelong learning and the exchange of ideas and techniques with many of the nation’s premier Orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeons, Dr. Papa remains at the cutting edge of his specialty. As an active member in the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, he has given many national presentations while authoring multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in internationally recognized textbooks. Dr. Papa has been selected by his peers to participate in foot and ankle knowledge assessment of other orthopaedic surgeons. His belief is that good results require collaboration between doctor and patient. He enjoys educating patients about their condition and partnering with them in their treatment. His commitment to patients is to work hard each and every day to provide them the best quality of care possible.
PERSONAL:
Dr. Papa is a devoted husband and father who enjoys family time. He and his family are committed to their community and passionate about fitness. Dr. Papa can be seen at the YMCA on most days. He also loves fishing and travel.
