As Founder and President of Barrett Law, a boutique law firm located in Windermere, Lynn Barrett focuses on educating and helping healthcare providers navigate the complex, ever-changing world of laws and regulations that govern today’s healthcare delivery system. Lynn’s work with hundreds of providers has allowed her to understand the inner workings of delivery systems and offer practical guidance and solutions to clients.

After graduating second in her class from Carnegie Mellon University, Lynn knew she wanted to help people—a goal that came into focus when she served as the Director of a senior care center. While there, she witnessed injustices that led her in a direction she had not previously considered: law.

Determined to make a difference, Lynn pursued this path at New York University School of Law, where she went on to fulfill her mission of guiding healthcare organizations through regulatory and compliance challenges, enabling them to focus on what matters most—patient care.

Prior to opening her practice, Lynn spent the first half of her 34-year career in private practice, followed by in-house work at for-profit, nonprofit, and public health systems. Her dedication and persistence earned her executive roles as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.

Lynn is also passionate about developing the next generation of professionals. Following in her mother’s footsteps as an educator, she has served as an Adjunct Professor at multiple distinguished institutions, including UNC, Hofstra, and NSU Law School. She believes that teaching reinforces her commitment to making complex legal concepts understandable and accessible.

When Lynn steps away from the world of law, she enjoys staying active, taking Irish dance and horseback riding lessons. She hopes to one day open a horse sanctuary and has begun studying Equine Law to help her achieve that goal.
