Fashion businesses that do their part to support health
charities and stop the spread of COVID-19.

There is no doubt that the ongoing  COVID-19 pandemic has completely changed our lives, from  the way we travel to what we wear. And even though there is a vaccine ready to be distributed, a face mask is the safety measure that is going to stay for the long run.

With that being said, unfortunately there is a significant amount of disposable masks being found all over the streets (and garbage). We came a long way with reusable bags, straws, and much more daily necessities that have become sustainable. And the face mask has now become the most important item we carry.

And thanks to certain brands and companies, we can now purchase washable and reusable face masks. They are more environmental friendly and  they come in different patterns, designs, and colors to fit your personal style and/or outfit.

There are a few brands in particular that donate a percentage of sales to either nurses, doctors, who are on the frontlines of COVID-19. Some donate masks to the workers as well. Burberry in particular donates all profits from the mask sales to the Burberry Foundation COVID-19 Community Fund that supports communities impacted by the pandemic worldwide. Stella McCartney’s Italian-made face mask, is made with organic cotton. For every purchased mask, the designer has committed to planting a tree in partnership with Conservation International.

Last, but certainly not least, for each mask purchased, the brand Free People will donate one of their masks to people fighting for different social and health causes such as racial injustice, immigration, and the prevention of COVID-19 spread in Guatemala.
