Express Family Clinic

Dr. Michelle M. Nguyen is currently the primary physician and medical director of Express Family Clinic. She is a board-certified family physician providing comprehensive care to her patients since 2006. Her philosophy is to promote healthy living, thus her practice focuses on holistic and preventive medicine. She enjoys educating patients and guiding them to achieve optimal healthy lives.

Dr. Nguyen immigrated to the United State when she was 7. Being thankful her parents took the risk and left Viet Nam in a small fishing boat to give their children better opportunities, she was determined to achieve the highest education possible. She graduated high school as a valedictorian and went on to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Biological Basis of Behavior at the University of Pennsylvania. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. Dr. Nguyen’s desire to be well versed in all aspects of medicine and to help patients of all ages prompted her to specialize in Family Medicine. She joined the Florida Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in 2003 and was awarded Intern of the Year. She went on to become chief resident from 2005-2006.

As a family physician, Dr. Nguyen has cared for thousands of patients in Lake Nona and its surrounding region. Many have become long-standing patients for many years, even when moving out of Lake Nona. She has also spent her time volunteering at various free clinics, such as Shepherd’s Hope and KNIGHTS Clinic at UCF. She has also organized and participated in various community health fairs in Orlando.

Dr. Nguyen also enjoys teaching and has been a volunteer community clinical faculty for the University of Central Florida School of Medicine and Nova Southeastern University Physician Assistant Program. She also provides clinical preceptorship to family medicine residents.

She is an accomplished family physician and holds professional memberships with the American Academy of Family Physicians, Florida Academy of Family Physician, International Society of Travel Medicine, and the AnBang Professional Group. She is also a designated civil surgeon for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. In addition, she is affiliated with the Advent Health Hospital and Orlando Health Hospital networks. Throughout the years, she has received numerous awards. She received the Merit Award from the Vietnamese Medical Association, as well as the Merit Recognition from the Vietnamese Community of Central Florida Organization. In 2018 she received the Compassionate Doctor Award.  She was also selected for Vitals Patients’ Choice Award for 2018 and 2019. Recently she was awarded America’s Most Honored Doctors 2020-Top10%.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She loves traveling, going on hikes, and exploring new places. She also volunteers with various religious and cultural activities at the Phap Vu Buddhist Cultural Centre in Orlando.
