Losada Vision

Dr. Nelsa Losada received her doctorate from the University of Houston in 1991 and her Batchelor in Biology from USF in 1984. She has practiced in the Southwest area for 31 years.  She is originally from Cuba and is fluent in Spanish but came at the age of 5 and grew up in Michigan.  She served as an examiner on the Florida State Board of Optometry for several years.  She has collaborated with production companies providing fitting of theatrical contacts many times.

Dr. Losada is a dry eye specialist and one of the first to provide the only FDA approved treatment for dry eyes called Optilight as well as other treatments for dry eyes. The patient’s eye health is very important. We provide comprehensive eye exams. The retinal scans we take provide very important information of the patient’s eye health as well as information about their diabetes, hypertension and much more. She treats eye infections, glaucoma, eye emergencies, pre and post op cataract and lasik.

To SEE good our automated refraction allows for a more clear and precise prescription for vision. She fits a variety of specialty contacts;  multifocal, toric, gas permeable, scleral and CRT lenses that correct the vision while you sleep.
