With a vision to change the public’s many misconceptions regarding root canals, Dr. Peter Chen started Advanced Endodontics (AE) in 2008 with a one-chair practice in Clermont. Today, AE is a private specialty practice with 5 locations, over 25-operating chairs, and a team of 7 endodontists serving the communities of Central Florida.

Advanced Endodontics is about “Changing the Face of Root Canals, One Patient at a Time.” We help people achieve healthier lives by alleviating pain and discomfort, and saving their natural teeth.

Patients are our #1 Priority. Going to the dentist for some can be stressful, filled with fear and anxiety. At AE, it is about a 5-star patient experience focused on comfort, care, and convenience. From a modern, state-of-the-art space that’s safe, clean, and welcoming; accompanied by a friendly and attentive team to a Comfort Menu offering of blankets, headphones, and iPads with the latest selection of movies and music for use during treatment, we are here to make our patients feel at ease.

Modern Holistic Endodontics. To achieve the best treatment outcome, Dr. Chen makes sure his team stays current with the latest in advanced techniques coupled with modern technology, including the surgical microscope, digital radiography, the Apex Locator, and 3D CBCT imaging. We also provide alternative pain and anxiety management options such as Nitrous Sedation and the DentalVibe, a unique tool that uses vibrations to provide pain-free injections. The newest addition is the use of the Fotona Laser and bio-friendly fillers. Laser-assisted endodontics helps us achieve deeper cleans and more effective removal of the infection with minimal pain and shorter recovery times. Post Op Pain? No problem – we also use red light therapy aka photobiomodulation (PMB) that can help ease post op pain without the use of opioid pain medications.

Complex Dental Emergencies? Challenge Accepted. It happens when we least expect it. A cracked tooth, sudden severe pain, extreme swelling, and bleeding, knocked out teeth. We recommend seeing your general dentist first; however, we welcome same-day emergencies. No referrals are necessary. 

Community Involvement. Over the years, Dr. Chen and the AE team have partnered with several non-profit organizations focused on children, oral health, and community development. From free dental care through Dentistry from the Heart, fundraising and meal packaging for families in need with US Hunger, and sponsorships with local baseball teams, to American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, holiday toy collections with BabyDJ, and more.
