Federal Regulatory Compliance Lawyer Turned Digital Legal Creator
Ms. Razack has spent nearly a decade working on some of the biggest federal antitrust investigations, commercial and trademark litigation cases, and federal compliance matters. She has primarily worked with the international consulting firm Deloitte, but has also served as a consultant attorney for several other firms. Through this work, she learned the ins and outs of some of the most highly federally regulated industries, including pharmaceuticals, aviation, financial services, and consumer protection.
Ms. Razack is not only a Florida-licensed attorney but is also licensed to practice law in Ontario, Canada (she’s not a snowbird, though). She holds two Juris Doctor degrees—one from Michigan State University College of Law (Go Green!) and the other from the University of Ottawa. She also practiced employment law and commercial litigation in Canada at Schible Law Firm before relocating to the U.S.
After years of immersing herself in areas of law not widely understood, Ms. Razack created the social media brand Avant-Garde Law to educate people on all things legal. This passion was sparked by the realization that there’s a significant amount of legal misinformation online—and that the legal inner workings of many facets of life are a mystery to most (admittedly, to her at times too). She believes people can benefit from access to the information she’s been privileged to learn and from credible, legitimate legal sources. Ms. Razack aims to share that knowledge in a creative and easy-to-understand way.
In addition, after completing a certificate in Social Media Marketing with BrainStation, Ms. Razack began helping lawyers enhance their social media presence. Her understanding of both the practice of law and legal advertising ethics—combined with her marketing skills—allows her to assist solo practitioners and small firms with thoughtful, compliant content creation.
