Ruben Santiago, MD, FACOG, is a board certified OB/GYN physician that has been serving central Florida for more than 17 years.  He provides comprehensive healthcare for women throughout all stages of life and has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and completed his specialty training at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine University Hospital. As part of Orlando Health Physician Associates, he has been caring for women’s health at his office in Kissimmee since 2007 and Winnie Palmer Hospital since its inauguration.

As an expert in women’s health, he believes that taking care of patients from their first prenatal visit until welcoming their baby safely into the world is a great privilege. There is no greater reward for Dr. Santiago than seeing a mother’s smile after she is introduced to her baby for the first time. Also, being able to treat all aspects of women’s health (medical, surgical or even psychological) is one of the main reasons he chose this specialty. To him, the relationships that he has built with his patients and their families through decades of care are truly unique.

Dr. Santiago was one of the first surgeons to be certified in da Vinci Gyn Robotic Surgery in Central Florida. Since then, he has continued with advances in operative gynecology using multiple techniques in minimal invasive surgery.  Staying current with the latest innovations and trends in his field, he provides services such as hormone replacement therapy with testosterone pellets and in office procedures. Along with his staff that is fluent in Spanish, he strives to give excellent attention to patients. He believes in presenting options of medical and surgical care to his patients, so that it is tailored to each of their needs.

He has received multiple honors and awards throughout his years in practice including the Patients Choice Award, the Compassionate Doctor Award and America’s Most Honored Doctors. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and member of the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

He is happily married and has four children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, and golfing.
