With over 30 years of experience in the dental profession, Clermont Lakes Dental Care’s owner-dentist Samuel S. Wakim, DDS, has been serving the Western Orange and South Lake Counties since 2017 garnering stellar reviews and a patient base that respects him and his team for their patience and compassion.

He began his career working with renowned cosmetic dentist Sam Ayoub in downtown San Francisco, learning the importance of smile design and the need to pay close attention to detail. Additionally, Dr Wakim partnered with medical professionals to open several rural healthcare clinics across northern California, a legacy he is most proud of, bringing dental services to areas in most need that are still open 30 years later.
“Keeping up with technology and embracing continuing education have been gamechangers for me in my career,” adds Dr Wakim. He is currently on the Conventions Committee of the Florida Dental Association, representing the dentists of Central Florida, and travels to multiple dental meetings every year learning the latest trends in dentistry and searching for speakers to share their experiences and knowledge with his colleagues.
Because of his personal dedication to continued learning, Dr Wakim was elected a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), as well as the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI), two highly respected dental organizations. Last year, Dr Wakim was also recognized for his integrity and community service, as well as his dedication to the dental profession, with an election as Fellow to the International College of Dentists (FICD), the highest award a dentist can receive on a global level.
