World War Joy Tour – Live in Orlando

Grammy Award-winning producers and artists The Chainsmokers are bringing their highly-anticipated World War Joy North American Tour to Orlando’s Amway Center on Saturday, October 26.

Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, better known by their stage name, The Chainsmokers, were recently revealed to be the highest paid DJs of 2019, overthrowing Calvin Harris after six years at the top of the list. However, with their incomparable ability to churn out hit after hit, like their fan-favorite pop anthem, “Closer,” featuring Halsey, America’s most coveted music duo is well deserving of this title.

The EDM-pop collaboration first found fame with their 2014 song, “#Selfie,” and not long after, The Chainsmokers have garnered much more than a Grammy award, including two American Music Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards, and nine iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Before combining their talents to become the now-global sensation they are, The Chainsmokers were very well versed in the world of artistry. While studying art history at New York University, Pall worked at an art gallery in Chelsea, Manhattan, and Taggart, living in Maine, had released original solo tracks on SoundCloud. By 2013, the freshly-formed DJ team had begun recording, followed by their first live performance at New York’s Terminal 5 in 2014.

After gaining recognition by covering songs from indie artists, The Chainsmokers began featuring vocal performances by some of pop’s most iconic singers, beginning in 2016 with “Don’t Let Me Down,” a Grammy-winning track with vocals from American singer Daya. On the heels of these musical partnerships, in 2017, the DJs released their debut album, Memories…Do Not Open, which reached platinum status, climbing to the number one spot in the U.S. on the Billboard 200 chart.

The DJs’ chart-topping collaborations include “Something Just Like This” featuring Coldplay and “This Feeling” featuring Kelsea Ballerini. Over the previous two years, The Chainsmokers have crafted groundbreaking songs that have turned into multi-platinum hits, and their breakthrough “Closer” became the longest-running number one single of 2016 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The growing success of the producers’ new star-filled singles led to an exclusive three-year residency deal with Wynn Nightlife.

The Chainsmokers’ latest creation features the Australian pop-rock band, 5 Seconds of Summer. Released in February 2019, “Who Do You Love” skyrocketed to number one on iTunes and stands as the DJs’ lead single from their upcoming studio album, World War Joy.

Respectfully dubbed the “biggest new rock act in the world” by Rolling Stone, 5 Seconds of Summer has become the only band in history to have its first three full-length studio albums enter the Billboard chart at number one. 5 Seconds of Summer found international success with their third album, “Youngblood” along with the album’s title track, which reached number one on Apple Music’s biggest pop playlist, Today’s Hits, and Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits playlist, bringing in two billion digital streams.

Fans of 5 Seconds of Summer will be thrilled to learn that the Aussie group is joining The Chainsmokers on their World War Joy Tour on all dates, the perfect opening act—and potential collaboration—for a vibrant, star-studded night of music.

The Chainsmokers’ World War Joy North American Tour is your chance to experience the duo’s first ever Amway Center performance, so be sure to grab your tickets before they sell out.
