Dr. Deborah Day has been dedicated to providing clients with compassionate and quality services for 35 years. Dr. Day received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology and is a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Family Mediator, and Qualified Parenting Coordinator.
In 1988, Dr. Day established her practice, Psychological Affiliates, Inc., now with offices in Winter Park and Palm Beach, Florida. Unlike many other practices, Psychological Affiliates operates under a group model, staying true to Dr. Day’s dedication to her expert team of 8 licensed psychologists. Her eclectic practice provides a variety of comprehensive outpatient services including individual and family psychotherapy, social investigations, mediations, collaborative divorce services, and psychological, neuropsychological, psychosexual, and competency evaluations. As a seasoned psychologist, Dr. Day guides the future of her field by accepting psychology residents, practicum, and undergraduate students into her practice, providing them with valuable experience and supporting their career development
In addition to working with clients, Dr. Day’s community involvement is central to her mission to drive everyone to success. For 35 years she served as the Orlando Child Protection Team’s Psychologist and currently serves on Florida’s Parenting Coordination Disciplinary Board and is active in the Florida Bar’s Family Law Section. Dr. Day also supports various organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, American Heart Association, the Girl Scouts, and the Pet Alliance of Orlando.
Dr. Day’ strong work ethic has led her being recognized with multiple awards including the Rosemarie Roth Founders Award from the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Visionary Award from the Florida Bar Family Law Section, and the distinction of Alumni of the Year from her alma mater, the Florida Institute of Technology.
When she’s not running her practice or providing commentary for major news broadcasts, Dr. Day enjoys traveling internationally to experience many vibrant and diverse cultures. She is very proud of her two children, Dr. Ryan Day and Dr. Lauren Day, and loves her time with them. When she is at home, Dr. Day enjoys spending time with her husband, her mother, and their two dogs, Henri and Jaxx.
