Sawyer & Sawyer, P.A.

In the past 20 years, Cary Moss has focused her practice on the area of Elder Law.  While Elder Law can encompass many different issues that affect seniors, she has concentrated on Long Term Care Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, Guardianship and Estate Planning.   She serves as the managing partner of Sawyer & Sawyer, P.A. and has the honor of practicing with her husband, Tom Moss, and her mother, Carolyn Sawyer.  In fact, Cary’s parents, Thomas and Carolyn Sawyer, founded the firm in 1994.  Sawyer & Sawyer, P.A. is located in southwest Orlando but has grown to serve the entire Central Florida area.

Cary has served on the board of directors for The Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys from 2012 to 2017 and ultimately served on its Executive Committee for 5 years and then as President in 2016.  Cary continues to serve on the Joint Public Policy Task Force for the Elderly and Disabled which allows her to be involved weekly with ongoing issues that might impact seniors or disabled citizens via legislative or agency matters.

Cary was recently selected as a 2018 Florida Super Lawyer and her latest endeavor includes becoming certified as an Adjunct Practice Advisor with Atticus.  Atticus has been instrumental in helping Cary find work-life balance and she is excited to share the Atticus principles with other lawyers to help them build great practices with a focus on personal happiness and well-being.

Cary attended The University of Florida and then law school at Stetson University in St. Petersburg where she met Tom and they married in 2000.  They have two boys, Parker (12) and Hunter (14), who attend Foundation Academy.  Cary loves watching her boys play sports whether its football, basketball or baseball.  She also enjoys fishing, being outdoors, and travel with her family.

“The practice of Elder Law has been challenging at times, but it has allowed me to meet incredible people.   I am grateful for the wonderful clients and their families I have had the privilege of helping.  Most of all, I am grateful for the lessons I continue to learn from them . . . compassion, grace and dignity”.
