This year he was chosen by his peers to receive the Orlando Style Legal Elite Rising Stars award.

Eric Elms joined Fisher Rushmer in 2011 and practices in the areas of personal injury, insurance defense, and civil litigation. Since 2015, Eric has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Civil Litigation Defense.  Since 2014, Eric has been routinely recognized by the Florida Supreme Court for his pro bono work.  Since 2013, Eric has served as one of three elected representatives for The Florida Bar’s Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors, and has served on the local Orange County Bar Associations Young Lawyers Section Board of Directors.

As a YLD Board of Governor, Eric has been part of numerous committees helping to set policy and establish initiatives for over 30,000 young lawyers in Florida along with underserved Floridians.  Eric has worked on transitioning The Florida Bar’s Practicing with Professionalism program, which is attended by all newly-minted Florida Bar members, from a live program to an online program.  In 2016, as the Chair of the Practicing with Professionalism committee, Eric finally accomplished the feat with the help of his fellow committee members.  In 2017, Eric was elected by his fellow board of governors as the recipient of The Florida Bar’s Most Productive Young Lawyers Division’s Board Member.

Eric enjoys helping those involved in accidents and other issues involving insurance coverage and defense, Eric’s most rewarding cases have been cases involving the representation of those without financial means to retain an attorney.  Eric looks forward to serving the people and businesses of Central Florida for many more years.
