What you need to know about the four new breweries opening in Orlando.

Over the past few years we’ve seen an increase in food halls and breweries around the country, from LA to Miami to the Carolinas. Orlando didn’t have as many, but this season we’ve been announced four new breweries that will be the places to hit this summer. With convenience being a major factor lately, these breweries and food halls will allow you to experience various types of foods and beers all in one stop. Bring your family to one of these new places for a fun-filled day or go with some friends for a chill night out. The possibilities are endless with this summer’s brewing houses.

Bowigens Beer Company
A Casselberry classic will be opening a tap room at The Marketplace at Avalon Park. This will be available in late April with a commissary kitchen, gathering kitchen, and consignment store with locally sourced goods.

Big Storm Brewing Co.
From Clearwater, Big Storm Brewing Co. has recently opened their brewpub in Downtown Orlando’s own Amway Center. Even when the center is not hosting events, guests are welcome to dine at the restaurant and brewery during their hours of service.

Deadwords Brewing
Deadwords Brewing has been announced to open in the early summer months of this year by co-owners David Satterfield and Luke Pridgeon. This brewery will be located on Orange Blossom Trail with a brewer transferred from the Pacific Northwest.

Gatlin Hall Brewing
This brewery and food hall is set to open between May and June. It will be located at Holden and South Orange in the Downtown area. The head brewer for this company will be Tyler Rosenberg, previous brewer of Cigar City Brewing, Carrollwood Brewing Co., and Coppertail Brewing Co. Within this hall, there will be three different food concepts including Executive Chef Jim Nuetzi’s pizza and burger stalls and Pete Downing’s DaKine Poke.
