Born in Monterrey, Mexico, and raised in the U.S., Dr. Fernando Ovalle Jr. is a man of many talents. A double major in Biochemistry and English at Rice University, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors.
Dr. Ovalle continued his education at Vanderbilt University as a Dean’s Merit Scholarship recipient. His research fellowship at the CDC and participation in mission trips like Operation Smile in Peru showcase his global perspective.
With an artistic eye and a scientific mind, Dr. Ovalle found his calling in plastic surgery. He completed a highly selective residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. His expertise extends beyond the operating room; he’s a published scholar and a frequent speaker at medical conferences.
