Best Wildlife Preserve

Gatorland is an expansive 110-acre theme park that seamlessly blends the timeless charm of “Old Florida” with thrilling new exhibits and entertainment. Since its inception as a roadside attraction in 1949, Gatorland has been captivating visitors for an impressive 74 years. As the exclusive theme park of Orlando with unparalleled “bite and attitude,” it now offers more excitement than ever before.

One of the park’s most remarkable features is its vast array of thousands of alligators and crocodiles, that reside within the park. Many of these reptiles have been rescued through Gatorland’s renowned Gatorland Global outreach program, established in 2018 to provide a dedicated conservation program, for Gatorland with a simple mission: to Protect, Conserve, and Educate. The park’s specific programs are designed to safeguard alligators and crocodiles in Florida, while providing designated resources to support conservation research of critically endangered crocodiles across the globe. And finally to educate people on the importance of alligators and crocodiles to our ecosystems, to respect their power and their beauty, and how to live safely with them in the state of Florida and communities around the world.

The ultimate destination for families and animal lovers alike, the park offers an abundance of captivating experiences. Visitors of all ages can enjoy the walk-in free-flight aviary, and feed the barnyard animals at the petting zoo, then take a ride on Florida’s best train ride, The Gatorland Express. The Gator Gully Splash Park provides a refreshing retreat from hot Florida sunshine. Additionally, there are gifts for the entire family and souvenirs for the folks back home at the Gatorland gift shop.  For wildlife enthusiasts, there’s a breeding marsh with observation tower, a serene nature swamp walk, a captivating capybara encounter, and adorable panther cubs, Yuma and Zakari! A visit is not complete without visiting the breathtaking and extremely rare giant white alligators at the White Gator Swamp.

There are thrilling reptilian shows, including “Alligators: Legends of the Swamp,” “Up-Close Encounters,” and the world-famous “Gator Jumparoo.” For those seeking an adventure like no other, guests can ride the award-winning “Screamin’ Gator Zipline” over live alligators and crocodiles, or the Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure. New this spring Gatorland introduced – “CROC ROCK,”  a three-in-one experience where guests get to climb, cross a chain bridge, and zipline!
