Dr. Dustin Huynh is a co-medical director of Critical Care at Osceola Regional Medical Center. He began serving at Osceola Regional in 2016 when he first joined Lakefront Surgical Associates under Envision Healthcare.  In 2006, he attended the University of Hawaii – John A. Burns School of Medicine. He went on to complete a general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship at the University of South Carolina – Palmetto Health, where he was nominated for Resident of the Year and was the recipient of the Chief Resident Award. He is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care.

Dr. Huynh is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society for Critical Care Medicine, Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and Southeastern Surgical Congress. He is also an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Central Florida, College of Medicine.

He is a co-founder and President of the An Bang Professionals, a non-profit organization focused on underprivileged youth. The organization is a place for volunteer professionals to provide career guidance and mentorship for underserved youth as well as give back to the community.

Other than his interest in trauma and critical care, he specializes in biliary and hernia surgeries. His other areas of interest include minimally invasive laparoscopic/robotic, endocrine, wound care, and bread-and-butter general surgery cases.

Dr. Huynh immigrated to America when he was ten without knowing a single word of English or the American culture. Although life as an immigrant was extremely difficult, he did not take his opportunity for education granted and graduated from high school ranked 3rd in his class.

The hardships did not stop him as his dedication and strong will for healthcare propelled him to a career in surgery. He dedicated his success to his parents and family.

“Without my parents, I would not be where I am today,” he said.

He is happily married to his childhood friend, Love, and together they have two wonderful daughters, Haven and Hope. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his family and friends, traveling the world, golfing, bowling, and anticipating many medical missions in the future.
