Neuro Imaging Winter Park has been at the forefront in Brain, Spine, Head & Neck Imaging in Central Florida for over 20 years. With their 3-Tesla 32 channel MRI and 64 detector CT scanner, they perform cutting-edge imaging. In addition to their technology, the patient experience is second to none. From the moment a patient walks in the door until the end of their scan, all patients receive ‘VIP’ treatment. All scheduling calls are answered by a real person on site, and referring physicians have their reports and access to imaging via our PACS the same day or next morning. 

Dr. Marc Shapiro has been practicing for over 35 years. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology and certified and recertified (2012) in Neuroradiology. He graduated from the University of Kentucky Medical School before completing residencies at UCLA and Mount Sinai Hospital-New York and a neuroradiology fellowship at Yale, where he remained on the faculty at Yale for an additional four years and became chief of Neuro MRI and Head & Neck Radiology. Dr. Shapiro has been voted among America’s Top Radiologists for the past 18 years and has been consistently voted among Orlando’s Top Radiologists. He was voted Teacher of the Year by Radiology Residents at Yale and received the University of Kentucky Medical School’s Dean’s Distinguished Alumnus award for 2013. He was among a select group of physicians chosen by UCF medical students as an excellent physician, role model, and teacher. He is a member of RSNA, ASNR, ASHNR, and ARRS. He is also a voluntary associate professor of Neuroradiology at UCF and University of Miami. In his off-hours, Dr. Shapiro spends time at home in Winter Park with his wife and dogs, and enjoys sports, working out, politics, music, and art.

Neuro Imaging Winter Park is proud to announce Dr. Rajendra Vazirani, who is an expert in musculoskeletal, body, and oncologic imaging, is now a full partner at our practice. With Dr. Vazirani’s added expertise, patients now receive the same quality scans in musculoskeletal, body, and oncologic imaging that they would receive at the best academic institutions. 

Dr. Rajendra Vazirani has been practicing for over 15 years. He graduated from Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency at the University of Wisconsin. He completed an MRI fellowship at the University of Miami, during which he completed his Neuro rotation under Dr. Shapiro in Winter Park. Over the past 12 years Dr. Vazirani has covered for Dr. Shapiro during meetings and conferences. He is now at the City of Hope Cancer Center in Atlanta. In his off time, Dr. Vazirani enjoys music, visiting his family, and is an avid car enthusiast.
