He adds, “We strive to achieve our goals of unparalleled epilepsy services to our patients not only through our clinical team but also by providing one of the most sophisticated centers for epilepsy monitoring.” As a specialist and thought leader in the field of epilepsy, Dr. Sadek believes that medical and surgical approaches for managing epilepsy should be tailored to each patient according to their epilepsy type, functional needs and their goals. In addition to highly advanced epilepsy management approaches, Dr. Sadek and his team emphasize compassion and patient advocacy as a core philosophy for their patient care.

EDUCATION:
Dr.Sadek is an Ivy League-trained neurologist with extensive training in the field of epilepsy management. He had two years of training in epilepsy in one of the premier institutions and leading epilepsy centers in the country– the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He received his residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. In addition to his epilepsy fellowship, Dr. Sadek also completed a two-year neuroimaging research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and has written numerous publication and several book chapters.

MEMBERSHIPS AND ACADEMIC AFFILIATIONS:
Dr. Sadek is a member of the American Epilepsy Society (AES), International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS), and American Academy of Neurology (AAN). He is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at University of Florida-Shands in Gainesville.

CERTIFICATIONS:
Dr. Sadek is Board Certified in the field of Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy.

IN THE COMMUNITY:
Dr. Sadek is the Medical Director of Orlando Epilepsy Center, as well as the Medical Director of the clinical neurodiagnostic section at Orlando Health. He also is a member of the board of directors of the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida (EACF).

EPILEPSY SERVICES:
“We provide a comprehensive approach to managing refractory epilepsy patients,” he says. This includes options for long-term video EEG studies, ambulatory recordings, and different prolonged and routine EEG studies as indicated. His  services include patient selection for epilepsy surgery and VNS management. In his practice, Dr. Sadek treats different types of epilepsy in adult and pediatric populations.

A number of cases are seen as charity every month.
