Beauty Trends Of The Month

By Omayra La Bella

April is one of the best months of the year, the change in season allows for plenty of outside activity and get-togethers, because the weather is perfect. The Easter season is when families get together and go on vacation. That is one of the reasons I make sure to always look stylish, wear the colors that are trending and look chic. Let me give you a list of what’s trending now for this spring season.

Eyelash Extensions are quickly becoming more and more popular these days. They are individual lashes, made of silk, mink, or something synthetic, that are attached to your existing lashes semi-permanently. If you’ve ever dreamt of waking up with beautiful lashes but without that ring of leftover mascara dangling, eyelash extensions are the solution. It works for me.

Here are a few reasons I personally recommend them.

1. Time Saver

Not only will eyelash extensions help you look much more “put together” when you roll out of bed, but they can also save you lots of time. If you wear mascara and eyeliner almost every day, eyelash extensions will save you time spent in front of a mirror.

2. Beauty

Eyelash extensions add volume to the natural lash line and can lift the face and make people appear more youthful. Today’s beauty standards applaud long, thick eyelashes, and with extensions you can enhance your natural beauty without the use of makeup or other beauty products.

3. Does Not Damage

Putting extensions on your eyelashes is not an aggressive process and wearing them doesn’t damage your natural lashes at all.

There’s a perfect spot located in Winter Park, I highly recommend, The Belle Saint, professional service and reliability.

Neutral / Pastel Nail Color – Neutral colors are both classic and chic and are being worn on today’s fashion runways and modeled in magazine spreads. Whether your choice is long oval-shaped nails or short squared tips, neutral or pastel nails colors are the hottest ticket in town.

While color is always in fashion during the spring, neutrals look beautiful as well. Soft pearly whites, light pink tones, nude colors, and gentle beige and gray tones always look good. Spring is all about soft colors. It’s always fun to do a bright pink or red – trust me I get it – but good neutral nail colors will go with literally any outfit you choose. The beauty of a nude or neutral nail polish is that it allows you to be bold with your outfit choices without having to worry about it clashing.

When it comes to my nails, I always go simple and chic. I highly recommend Nails by Arelis, located in Winter Park.

Moisturizing Your Skin – You never can ignore taking care of your skin. Moisturizers address the importance of making sure the skin is getting all the water it needs to fight dryness and dehydration, premature signs of aging and environmental damage. Moisturizing is about trapping and sealing in moisture to build the skin’s protective barrier, prevent water loss and keep the skin soft and smooth. This is very important during the warmer dryer months of spring.

Here are some reasons why I cannot leave my house without moisturizing my skin.

1. Preventing dryness

Warm weather air conditioning or indoor heat are all environmental factors that can suck the moisture right out of your skin. That’s why moisturizing is so important. It not only replaces moisture that’s already been lost, but helps prevent future loss.

2. Slowing the Signs of Aging

For me this is crucial. Hydrated skin is younger-looking skin. It’s never too early to start preventing future fine lines and wrinkles. And that plump, firm feeling you get after giving your face a dose of hydration is helping to slow down the process.

3. Help Fight Acne

It might seem strange to add more moisture to already oily-prone skin, but it makes sense. When your skin gets dry, it sends a message to your glands to produce more oil that can clog your pores and cause breakouts. So, if skin is properly hydrated, it can help stop it from producing more oil than it needs.

4. Soothe Sensitive Skin

Got red, irritated skin? Have dry, itchy patches? Sensitive skin needs extra special care. Look for a moisturizer that has soothing ingredients like aloe vera, chamomile, oatmeal, and honey, just to name a few.

If you are looking for a good moisturizer I highly recommend, the natural skin care product line, “INNATA – Inspired By Omayra La Bella”.

Wearing Linen Clothing – It’s no coincidence that as the weather gets warmer, linen clothing hits the shelves. There are several benefits to this relaxed yet elegant fabric that makes it perfect for the Spring, especially on Easter Sunday. So many benefits to why I wear linen clothing.

1. Durable

Linen is known as the world’s strongest natural fiber and is far more durable than cotton.

2. Easy to care for

Linen fabric can be machine washed.

3. Hypoallergenic

Linen is very breathable, allows air to move around freely and thus, releases moisture very fast.

4. Suitable for every season

Flax, from which linen is made, is used to make home insulation products. The reasons behind it are the same as with clothing: flax/linen are natural insulators and can release excess humidity.

5. Versatile

Whether you’re dressing up for a formal event, corporate environment, or aiming for a more casual, low-key look, linen fabric has an innate ability to compliment every occasion.

6. Sustainable fashion

Linen fabric is also recyclable and biodegradable, meaning you won’t be adding to the growing piles of textile waste all over the world.

7. Comfortable to wear

Linen clothes are usually designed to have a loose fit making them perfect for people of all ages, sizes, and shapes – wearing linen can never be a bad choice! Linen, being lightweight, breathable, moisture-wicking, and thermoregulating, is at the top of the pyramid of comfortable clothing. I usually purchase my linen attire in Macys at Millennium or Target.

Remember the important thing is for you to always feel comfortable and be confident in yourself. Always take care of yourself to look radiant. These are just some ideas to help bring it all out.
