THE HEALY TECHNIQUE:  After seven years in practice, Dr. Nick Healy, D.C. opened his practice, Healy Chiropractic & Wellness Center, in historic Winter Garden, FL. The clinic is crisp and modern, even though it resides in a historic home. He says, “Winter Garden is the ideal place to live, work and grow.” He has found success in West Orange with the Healy Technique, which he ascribes as combining deep tissue muscle work using various techniques to help relax the muscles, PNF stretching to elongate the muscle fibers and increase the blood flow to the injured area, followed by a chiropractic adjustment. By combining these therapies, Dr. Healy’s patients have found they need fewer visits, and feel greater relief. 

ABOUT THE DOCTOR: Dr. Nick Healy, D.C., is a graduate of Northwestern Health Science University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born and raised in Minnesota, he became interested in anatomy and physiology in high school while playing football, hockey, and baseball. Due to his own experiences with sports injuries, Dr. Healy decided to focus his studies on how one can optimize the human body to treat and prevent injuries. He is passionate about optimizing the health and well being of his patients through not only chiropractic, but nutritional counseling. “My job is to assist with the body’s innate ability to heal itself.”

AFTER HOURS: Dr. Healy lives in Central Florida with his wife and son. He makes sure to practice what he preaches by spending time outside, exercising, and creating nutritious meals. He enjoys golfing, rooting for the Minnesota Vikings, and spending time with his family.
