In a spectacular fusion of Italian craftsmanship and British luxury, Ducati and Bentley have proudly unveiled their collaborative masterpiece – the limited-edition Ducati Diavel for Bentley. This extraordinary motorcycle, a synthesis of technology, style, and performance, is set to captivate enthusiasts and make waves in the world of exclusive two-wheelers.
The unveiling of the Diavel for Bentley took place at a glamorous ‘fuorisalone’ event during Art Basel in Miami, the overseas edition of the renowned European contemporary art fair. This partnership between two iconic brands, both belonging to the Volkswagen Group’s Progressive Brand Group alongside Audi and Lamborghini, showcases a shared vision of performance, craftsmanship, and exclusivity.
Based on the high-performance and comfortable Diavel V4, Ducati has integrated defining elements from Bentley’s most powerful production car ever, the Bentley Batur, of which only 18 handcrafted examples will be produced by Bentley’s in-house bespoke division, Mulliner. The result is a motorcycle that not only exudes elegance and design but also pays homage to Bentley’s hallmark craftsmanship.
The inspiration for the Diavel for Bentley comes from the Bentley Batur, a 740 PS twin-turbo W12 engine powerhouse that combines Bentley’s benchmark craftsmanship with sculptured, muscular bodywork. The Diavel for Bentley inherits the Batur’s visual language, translating its power and elegance without excess. The collaboration between Centro Stile Ducati and Bentley designers resulted in a Scarab Green-colored motorcycle, rich in metallic shades from Bentley Mulliner’s palette.
The Diavel for Bentley is crafted in a numbered series limited to 500 examples, with an additional 50 exclusive “Ducati Diavel for Bentley Mulliner” motorcycles reserved for Bentley customers. These Mulliner editions offer personalized options inspired by the Bentley Batur, allowing customers to configure colors for the saddle, brake calipers, carbon fiber parts, and rims, aligning them with their Bentley cars.
The motorcycle’s design integrates distinctive elements from the Batur, such as forged rims reminiscent of the car’s design, triangular rear extractors, and a single-seater tail inspired by the rear of the Batur. Many bodywork components are crafted from high-quality carbon fiber, emphasizing the commitment to both performance and aesthetics.
The Diavel for Bentley Mulliner series, in addition to its exclusive features, offers a unique collaboration with Mulliner for customization, allowing owners to match their bike with their Bentley car. Each motorcycle comes with a certificate of authenticity, a passenger seat, and a motorcycle cover. The collaboration extends beyond the bikes themselves, resulting in a Capsule Collection for Diavel for Bentley owners, featuring a limited-edition jet helmet and technical jacket that mirror the bike’s color scheme.
Powered by the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, the Diavel for Bentley boasts 168 horsepower and a Twin Pulse combustion order, offering a unique and unmistakable exhaust note. With each motorcycle delivered in an exclusive personalized wooden case, this collaboration marks a pinnacle in the world of luxury motorcycles, blending the best of Italian and British design and engineering.
