Laura Moffett is a skilled and knowledgeable lawyer based in Orlando, Florida. Since 2009, Ms. Moffett has dedicated her practice to all aspects of family law, including divorce, paternity, child support, and protecting child interests. She passionately advocates on behalf of her clients and feels that communication with her clients is one of the most important components in representing their best interests.  Ms. Moffett is a member of the Central Florida Family Law American Inns of Court.

Ms. Moffett graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies. Thereafter, Ms. Moffett obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Barry University School of Law. While attending UCF, and continuing into law school, Laura worked as a paralegal and always knew Family Law would be her passion.

Ms. Moffett’s top priority is the satisfaction of her clients.  While she does not have a crystal ball and cannot ever know what could happen in every case, she is always prepared so that she can get the best possible outcome for her clients.  Ms. Moffett also understands the emotions that come with family issues and strives to provide compassionate, but aggressive representation for her clients from start to finish.  She believes that communication is key and remains responsive and engaged with clients as they navigate one of the most challenging times of their lives.  Ms. Moffett’s goal in every case is to work with her clients to resolve the case as easily as possible without causing more harm to both parties’ relationship with their children.  That is not to say that Ms. Moffett is not aggressive, but always keeps her client’s best interests in mind. 

In recognition of her professional accolades, Ms. Moffett is a member Central Florida Family Law American Inns of Court, was the recipient of the Super Lawyers Rising Stars Award for 2019, the AVVO Client’s Choice Award 2016-2019, The National Advocates Top 40 under 40 Award for Family Law in 2016 -2018, The National Advocates Top 100 Lawyers for 2017 and 2018, and The National Advocates Top 30 in Matrimonial and Family Law in 2018.

Laura also believes in giving back to the community and has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Altamonte Springs since 2014.  Laura is currently the President of the Rotary Club of Altamonte Springs, was awarded as the Rookie of the Year, in 2013/2014, and the Rotarian of the Year in 2016/2017.
