General Manager at Hilton Orlando 

Chris Mueller is the General Manager at the 1,424 room, three time Hilton Connie Award Winning, Hilton Orlando adjacent to the Orange County Convention Center. From having been an integral part of the opening leadership team in 2009, Mueller has a deep understanding of the inner workings of the property that is invaluable as he oversees daily operations and long-term strategy for the hotel. The Hilton Orlando is a vibrant contemporary resort with an exciting personality to compliment an exceptional location. The resort caters to groups of any size featuring 249,000 square feet of meeting space with picturesque outdoor venues and large, modern rooms with natural lighting.  The resort provides something for all types of travelers including seven distinct fine-dining options, an expansive recreation area featuring a tropical oasis with sweeping waterfalls overflowing into two pools and a lazy river lined with luxurious cabanas. Prior to his current role, Mueller served as the Hotel Manager, and consistently demonstrated a commitment to strategic growth as he oversaw daily operations of the resort with an emphasis on food and beverage, revenue management, marketing and rooms divisions. Honing all of his professional hospitality triumphs in Orlando, Mueller has gained rare insight into this unique market and maintains a philosophy of not chasing awards…“serve your guests and the awards will follow”.

Prior to his roles at Hilton Orlando, Mueller served as the catering and convention services director at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and the Yacht & Beach Club Resort. He has held additional positions at a myriad of Disney restaurants and resorts since 1991. Mueller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel restaurant and tourism administration from the University of South Carolina. He is an active member of his community serving on the Executive Transportation Committee Board, Orlando’s Right Rail Board, the Executive Board for International Drive Chamber, the Executive Board for Orange County Convention Center, the Visit Orlando Board, CFHLA Executive Board, UCF Advisory Board PHD Hospitality Studies, the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, and is President of Operation Shared Shoes, a non-profit organization.
