Orlando Heart & Vascular Center, LLC

Dr. Shravan Ambati is a Board-Certified heart rhythm specialist and cardiologist practicing in Orlando since 2012.  Joining Orlando Heart & Vascular Center at that time, he remains committed to providing compassionate care for patients with heart rhythm disorders within the Central Florida community. He aims to bridge the gap in care for patients with heart rhythm disorders as they can pose a significant risk to one’s quality of life when left untreated, especially as patients live longer with cardiovascular conditions. This includes providing 21st century medical and technological innovations to help people not just live longer but live better.

He is a graduate of Cornell University where he obtained his electrical engineering degree, then obtained his medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. He completed his internal medicine residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., cardiology fellowship at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, and electrophysiology fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York City.

Dr. Ambati is a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is Board Certified in electrophysiology, cardiology, and nuclear cardiology, as well as a member of the American Heart Association and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Ambati specializes in cardiovascular disease and has over a decade of experience in clinical and invasive electrophysiology. He is on staff and operates at AdventHealth Orlando Hospital, Orlando Regional Medical Center, and Oviedo Medical Center. He is professionally trained in techniques such as pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, implantable heart failure and telemetry monitors, radiofrequency and cryoballoon ablations for a myriad of arrhythmias, and cardiac MRI.

Dr. Ambati is also an assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and has published several peer-reviewed articles within his field.
